Text, media and embed blocks

These blocks carry the actual reading content of a page, plus the three ways to embed something from outside the CMS — a video, an arbitrary web page, and a Google Map.

Text Section

Text Section in Add Block. Plain rich text — headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, images, and links. This is the block you'll use most.

Within the text, the editor also lets you insert a Call to Action, an Accordion, a video or an iframe at any point, using the Insert option in the toolbar. These inserted versions display fine on the page — see Forms, contact and calls to action for why that matters.

Image & Text

Image & Text in Add Block. One or more images down one side, with rich text alongside.

Field What it does
Layout Image Left or Image Right
Images 1 or more, each with an optional Caption
Content Rich text, required

Add more than one image and they stack vertically down the image column — it's not a slideshow or carousel, all of them show at once. If you only need one photo, add one image.

Use this over Text Section whenever a photo belongs directly beside the text rather than floated inside it.

Video Player

Video Player in Add Block. Embeds a YouTube or Vimeo video.

Field What it does
Title Accessibility label for the embed — not shown on the page
Platform YouTube or Vimeo
URL Any watch, share, or embed link from that platform
Aspect Ratio 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, or 9:16

Paste any normal link you'd copy from the video's Share button — the CMS works out the embed itself.

A visitor who hasn't accepted video cookies sees a "this video requires cookies" message with a button to manage their preferences, instead of the video. That's the site's cookie-consent banner doing its job, not a broken embed — nothing to fix on your end.

Iframe Embed

Iframe Embed in Add Block. For embedding a web page from another system that doesn't have its own block here — an external calendar, a survey tool, a booking widget.

Field What it does
Iframe Source URL The page to embed. Required
Title (for accessibility) Required, not shown visually
Width / Height In pixels. The embed never grows wider than the page itself even if you set a bigger width

Use this as a last resort when nothing else in the block list covers what you need — a plain iframe has no styling of its own and will look like a box dropped onto the page.

Map

Map in Add Block. Embeds a Google Map.

Field What it does
Embed Code Paste the full snippet from Google Maps → Share → Embed a map

Paste the whole <iframe> snippet Google gives you, not just the address — the field pulls the map URL out of it automatically. A plain Google Maps link (not the Embed a map snippet) will be rejected.

Like Video Player, a visitor who hasn't accepted maps cookies sees a "this map requires cookies" placeholder instead of the map.
