Forms, contact and calls to action
Form Block
Form Block in Add Block. Puts one of your Forms on the page.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Subtitle / Title / Description | Optional heading above the form |
| Form | Which form to show. Required |
Build the form itself in Forms first — this block only chooses which one appears here. See Forms.
Contact
Contact in Add Block. A full-width section with your contact details on one side and a form on the other — heavier than Form Block, meant for a page's main "get in touch" section.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Subtitle / Title / Description | Heading for the section |
| Organization / Phone / Email / Address | Each one falls back to the matching field on Footer if left empty |
| Form Heading | Heading above the embedded form. Defaults to "Send Message" |
| Form | Which form to embed. Required |
| Background Image | Full-bleed background, recommended 1920×800 or larger |
Because the four contact fields fall back to Footer, you can usually leave them blank and this block will show your association's standard phone, email and address automatically. Only fill one in if this particular page needs a different contact point than the rest of the site.
Digest Signup
Digest Signup in Add Block. A banner where a visitor can enter their email and subscribe to your email digest — a different thing from the Digest screen under Tangilla Data, which is where you send the digest. This block only signs people up; see Sending the email digest for the sending side.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Heading | The banner's headline |
| Placeholder | The grey hint text in the email box |
| Button Label | The subscribe button's text |
| Topics | Which digest topics this signup enrols someone in — News, Job Openings, Documents |
Someone who signs up here still has to click the confirmation link in the email they're sent before they actually start receiving anything — same as anyone who subscribes any other way. See Subscribers.
Set Topics to just Job Openings on a careers page, or just News on a news-focused page, so people don't get signed up for updates they didn't come here for.
⚠️ Call to Action and FAQ Section don't currently show anything
Two blocks appear in the Add Block list but do not display on the live site at Abilene right now:
- Call to Action
- FAQ Section
You can add either one to a page, fill it in, and save — nothing in the CMS stops you, and nothing tells you it won't work. The page simply skips over it. This has been flagged to Dazlab as a bug; the workarounds below cover both.
Instead of the standalone Call to Action block: insert a Call to Action inside a Text Section or Image & Text block instead, using Insert in the rich text toolbar. That version does display — see Text, media and embed blocks.
Instead of the FAQ Section block: use an Accordion block, with one row per question. It produces the same expand-and-collapse layout and actually appears on the page — see Hero, quick links, tabs and accordion. Entries you've already written in the FAQs collection will need to be copied into the Accordion's rows by hand; the FAQs collection itself has no other place it currently appears on the site.
If you've already published a page using either block and it looks like something's missing, this is why — it isn't something you did wrong.
