FAQs

FAQs is under Content in the left-hand menu. Each entry is one question and its answer.

⚠️ There is currently no working way to display FAQ entries on the site. The page builder has an FAQ Section block that's meant to show them, but adding it to a page doesn't put anything on the public page — it saves fine and shows nothing. This has been flagged as a bug. If a page looks like it's missing its FAQs, this is why, and it isn't something you did wrong. Use an Accordion block instead, with one row per question. It produces the same expand-and-collapse layout and does display. See Forms, contact and calls to action and Hero, quick links, tabs and accordion for how. You'll need to copy each question and answer into the Accordion's rows by hand — there's no way to link an Accordion row to an FAQ entry automatically.

Adding a question

  1. Click FAQs in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Create New.
  3. Type the Title — this is the question.
  4. Write the Text — this is the answer.
  5. Click Save.

Both fields are required. The entry will not save with either left empty.

There is no draft. Saving publishes the entry immediately, wherever an FAQ block is showing it.

Writing good FAQ entries

Write the question the way a member would ask it. "How do I renew my membership?" gets found; "Membership renewal procedure" does not.

One question per entry. If an answer has two halves that people ask about separately, make two entries.

Keep answers short. If an answer needs several paragraphs and screenshots, it probably wants a page of its own, with the FAQ answer pointing at it.

Who can do what

Admins, Editors and Authors can create and edit FAQs. Only Admins and Editors can delete one.

Removing a question

Click Delete. It disappears from every page showing it, immediately, and there is no undo.

If a question is only out of date rather than wrong, editing the answer is nearly always better than deleting — the question is evidence that people were asking it.
