Analytics Settings
Analytics Settings is under Analytics in the left-hand menu. It connects the CMS to your Google Analytics account so website traffic figures can be shown inside the admin.
This is a one-off setup job, normally done by us. You should not need to change anything here. If the figures look wrong, contact support rather than editing these fields.
What the fields are
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 Property ID | Identifies your analytics property |
| GA4 Measurement ID | Identifies your website to Google Analytics |
| Google OAuth Connection | The signed-in Google account used to read the figures |
The connection also records Connected Google Account and Connected At, so you can see which account is in use and when it was linked.
Why the figures might be empty
If the analytics view in the admin shows nothing, the usual causes are:
- The connection has expired. Google connections need renewing periodically. Connected At tells you how old it is.
- The Measurement ID doesn't match the one on the website. The ID is stored in two places — here, and in the website itself. If they disagree, the site reports to one property while the admin displays another, and both look fine on their own.
- Not enough time has passed. A newly connected property has no history to show.
All three are worth reporting rather than fixing here — the second in particular needs a change on the website side, which is not something this screen can do.
What not to do
Don't paste in an ID from another association's property. These repos are near-identical, and an ID copied from elsewhere silently reports your traffic into someone else's account. If an ID looks missing, ask rather than filling it in.
