Form Submissions
Form Submissions is under Site Features in the left-hand menu. Every time someone fills in a form on your website, an entry appears here.
Reading a submission
Open one and you'll see which form it came from, when it arrived, and each answer against its field name.
The list is newest first, so anything new is at the top.
This is not a substitute for email
Forms can email you when someone submits. Set that up and rely on it. This screen is the record, not the alert — nobody checks a CMS screen often enough to reply to an enquiry promptly.
If enquiries are being missed, check the notification address on the form itself.
You cannot edit a submission
Submissions are a record of what someone actually sent. Treat them as evidence rather than as content — if something looks wrong, it's what they typed.
Deleting
You can delete a submission, and it is permanent.
Two reasons to delete: someone asks you to remove their data, or the entry is obvious spam.
Act on removal requests promptly. Submissions contain personal information — usually a name and an email address, sometimes a phone number — and that carries obligations.
Keeping the list manageable
A busy contact form builds up quickly. Clearing genuine spam periodically keeps the screen usable. Don't clear real enquiries just to tidy up — if you may need to show what someone asked for, keep it.
