Agents
Agents is under Tangilla Data + MLS in the left-hand menu. It holds your member agent records — names, contact details, photos and the office each belongs to.
These records come from Tangilla. They are not typed in here, and most of what you see cannot be edited. That is normal.
Where the information comes from
Agent records arrive automatically from Tangilla on a schedule. Open any agent and you'll see, in the right-hand sidebar:
| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Source | Where this record came from |
| Tangilla ID | The agent's reference in Tangilla |
| Last Synced | When this record was last updated from the feed |
These are read-only. You can see them, but you can't change them.
What you can and can't change
Greyed out means synced. If a field won't let you click into it, Tangilla owns it — name, NRDS ID, member type, association status, office and MLS status among them.
Correct these in Tangilla, not here. Anything you type into a synced field is replaced the next time that agent updates. Nothing breaks; the change simply doesn't last.
Fixing it at the source means it stays fixed, and it's right everywhere else the association uses that data.
Who can edit
Agents behave differently from most screens:
- Admins and Editors can update an agent record.
- Authors cannot.
- Only an Admin can create or delete one.
You should rarely need to create an agent by hand. If someone is missing, they are almost always missing from the feed — check Tangilla first.
If an agent is missing or wrong
- Check Tangilla. If they're not there, that's the cause.
- Check the sync ran. Look at Last Synced on a few other agents. If everything is days old, the sync may not have run.
- If Tangilla is right and the CMS still isn't after a sync has run, contact support — that is worth reporting.
Photos
An agent's Headshot comes through with their record. If a photo is missing or out of date, it needs updating in Tangilla so it flows through here.
